The classic Clive Barker adaptation is coming in a two-disc Blu-ray set in November, and now the complete, extensive details have been announced.
Shout! Factory releases CANDYMAN, written and directed by Bernard Rose, as a Scream Factory Collector’s Edition November 20. The set will include a new 2K restoration from a new 4K scan of the original negative, supervised and approved by Rose and director of photography Anthony B. Richmond, plus an unrated cut including high-definition inserts of additional footage from an archival film print, presented in 1.85:1 widescreen with DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio. CANDYMAN stars Virginia Madsen as a grad student researching the urban legend of Candyman (Tony Todd), a hook-handed phantom who manifests to bloodily assert his existence. Special features are:
