Freestyle takes you into a scary “WOODLAND” in July; trailer and poster

The forest holds not a monster or slasher, but paranormal premonitions in this forthcoming feature.

Freestyle Digital Media has announced that it has picked up North American rights to WOODLAND, written and directed by Jon Silverberg, and will release it on digital HD internet, cable, and satellite platforms and DVD July 28. Richard Harmon, Amanda Tapping, Frank C. Turner, Philip Granger and Catherine Jack star; the synopsis: “In 1989, photojournalist Jake [Harmon] is out of work and struggling with addiction when he takes a job as watchman of a wilderness lodge on a remote island in the Pacific Northwest, alongside veteran handyman, Sparky [Granger]. Jake sets up a darkroom to develop his photographs, which begin to expose disturbing premonitions of their future.”
