The return of the Halloween horror has been completed.
Longtime genre filmmaker and Emmy Award winner Fred Olen Ray has JACK-O 2, the sequel to the 1995 fright feature he produced, on the way. Ray wrote and directed the film, and produced it with the original’s director Steve Latshaw and Sean Donohue; the great Sybil Danning stars and served as an executive producer alongside William Grefe, the director of ’70s cult faves STANLEY, THE JAWS OF DEATH, etc. The cast also includes Richard Gabai, Martin Nicholas, Annah Arias and Xhyvette “Sushii” Holder; another genre vet, Thomas L. Callaway (CRITTERS 3 and 4, FEAST), was the cinematographer.
“JACK-O 2 pushes our characters—and our audience—to the edge while honoring the outrageous spirit of the original,” says Ray. “It’s a return to practical, in-your-face horror filmmaking.”
