First wave of international genre projects announced for Fantasia 2018’s Frontières market

A wide range of genre features from all over the world will be vying for backing at the 2018 Frontières International Co-Production Market, part of the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal this summer. Read on for all the info!

Frontières, set up to link filmmakers with financiers, will have its 10th edition July 19-22 at Fantasia. The highlight is a pitch session in which producers and directors present their potential movies to an audience of industry professionals. “2018 has already proven to be an exceptional year for Frontières, with our Financing Forum and Platform in Cannes developing extremely well,” says executive director Lindsay Peters. “This year’s crop of projects are going to showcase some incredibly exciting new genre talent, with very strong female representation, showing that the future of genre is stronger than ever.”
