James O’Barr’s avenger has a new look for his latest screen incarnation.

Lionsgate has released the first three photos from its reboot of THE CROW, which opens exclusively in theaters June 7. Directed by Rupert Sanders and scripted by Zach Baylin and William Schneider from O’Barr’s graphic novel saga, it stars Bill Skarsgård (IT), FKA twigs, Danny Huston, Laura Birn, Jordan Bolger and Isbella Wei. The synopsis: “Soulmates Eric Draven [Skarsgård] and Shelly Webster [FKA twigs] are brutally murdered when the demons of her dark past catch up with them. Given the chance to save his true love by sacrificing himself, Eric sets out to seek merciless revenge on their killers, traversing the worlds of the living and the dead to put the wrong things right.” Can Skarsgård live up to the legacy of previous screen Crow Brandon Lee? We’ll find out this summer…
