First good look at M. Night Shyamalan’s “OLD” is revealed

The teaser trailer debuted during tonight’s Super Bowl game.

Universal Pictures has dropped “The Big Game Spot” for OLD, which is set for only-in-theaters release July 23. Scripted and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, based on the graphic novel SANDCASTLE by Pierre Oscar Lévy and Frederik Peeters, it stars Gael García Bernal, Vicky Krieps, Rufus Sewell (DARK CITY), Ken Leung, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Abbey Lee (LOVECRAFT COUNTRY), Aaron Pierre, Alex Wolff (HEREDITARY), Embeth Davidtz (ARMY OF DARKNESS), Eliza Scanlen, Emun Elliott, Kathleen Chalfant and Thomasin McKenzie (JOJO RABBIT). The studio describes OLD as “a chilling, mysterious new thriller about a family on a tropical holiday who discover that the secluded beach where they are relaxing for a few hours is somehow causing them to age rapidly…reducing their entire lives into a single day.” We’ll see if the veil of secrecy typically placed over Shyamalan movies is held over this one, and will keep you posted on further news!
