Final season of “ASH VS. EVIL DEAD” coming to digital and disc; art and details

Sadly, there will be no more ASH VS. EVIL DEAD (unless another network picks it up now that Starz has dropped it), but you can relive the insane third and last season on various media this summer.

Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced that the third round of ASH VS. EVIL DEAD will be available on digital platforms this Friday, May 25, and arrives on two-Blu-ray and two-DVD sets August 21. This season has Ash (Bruce Campbell) reuniting with his long-lost daughter Brandy (Arielle Carver-O’Neill), and joining with new allies to take on Ruby (Lucy Lawless) and assorted other demons. The discs will present the episodes in 16×9-enhanced 1.78:1 widescreen (1080p hi-def on the Blu-ray), with Dolby 7.1 True HD audio on the Blu-rays and Dolby Digital 5.1 sound on the DVDs. Both versions will also feature audio commentary by executive producer Rob Tapert on every episode; retail prices are $39.97 for the Blu-ray and $34.98 for the DVD.
