Halloween has come and gone, but horror is forever! As we begin to move toward the end of the year, horror releases continue with this small but mighty list of new book releases ready to frighten you into the holidays. 

WHERE HE CAN’T FIND YOU by Darcy Coates (7 November 2023, Sourcebooks Fire)
In a terrifying game of cat and mouse, a town is haunted by a series of disappearances in which the bodies of the missing return sewn back together in unnatural ways. When a girl is taken, her friends must get her back before everything they love is cut away.

UNDER HER EYE edited by Lindy Ryan and Lee Murray (7 November 2023, Black Spot Books)
Under Her Eye (the follow-up to the award-winning Under Her Skin) features the best in dark verse and lyrical prose from women in horror. With domestic horror as the theme, this showcase is produced in partnership with The Pixel Project, a global non-profit focused on ending violence against women, making it not only a good read but a good read for a great cause.

SWARM by Jennifer Lyle (7 November 2023, Sourcebooks Fire)
Creatures appear on a September morning – but they’re not the butterflies they first appear to be. A tarrying unknown species has emerged, and few living things are safe in this apocalyptic thriller where butterflies are only the beginning. 

GOOD GIRLS DON’T DIE by Christina Henry (14 November 2023, Berkley)
Three women. Three stories. One way out. This twisty thriller follows three women trapped inside stories that are not their own.

CANDY CAIN KILLS by Brian McAuley (14 November 2023, Shortwave)
Horror comes home for the holidays when a family drags their children to a remote cottage for forced family bonding. After learning their holiday hideaway was home to a horrific crime, they must fight for their lives against a legendary killer.

A 2020 Publishers Weekly Star Watch Honoree and previous board member for the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), Lindy is a long-time advocate for women-in-horror and an active member of the HWA and ITW. She is the current chair of the Horror Writers Association’s Women in Horror Month. The author of numerous works of fiction and nonfiction, Lindy’s work has been adapted for film.
