Exclusive trailer: Terrifying tale of the tape in “CAPTURE”

The upcoming film brings new meaning to the idea of snuff video.

Uncork’d Entertainment will release CAPTURE on VOD and digital platforms March 17. Written and directed by Bruce Wemple (MONSTROUS, THE NORTH WITCH), it stars Kaitlyn Lunardi, Cedric Gegel, Chris Cimperman, Grant Schumacher, Leah Eckardt and LeJon Woods. The synopsis: “After inheriting her parents’ long-abandoned house, Abby [Lunardi] uncovers a mysterious 30-year-old camcorder hidden among a collection of videotapes. As she reviews the footage, she begins to unravel horrifying secrets tied to her family’s past—and a terrifying truth about the camera itself: Anyone it records doesn’t just relive the past, they die. What begins as a disturbing discovery soon becomes a desperate fight for survival as the camcorder’s supernatural power refuses to stay buried.”

“Bruce Wemple has become one of the most reliable voices in modern indie horror,” says Uncork’d president Keith Leopard, “and CAPTURE is one of his most unsettling films to date.”
