A real-life legend is hopping to home release.

RUE MORGUE got the word from Rotting Press that it is bringing FROGMAN to a Collector’s Version VHS February 9, followed by VOD/digital debuts March 8. The VHS will be available for pre-order this Saturday, February 3 at LunchMeatVHS.com. Shot mostly on Hi-8 using almost entirely practical effects, it has received enthusiastic reviews from its festival play. Anthony Cousins directed from a script he wrote with John Karsko, with Nathan Tymoshuk, Chelsey Grant, Benny Barrett and Justen Jones starring. The synopsis: “Loveland, Ohio: Home of the Frogman. In the summer of 1999, a 12-year-old named Dallas Kyle captured footage of the mythical creature, but no one believed it was real. Twenty years later, Dallas [Tymoshuk], now an amateur filmmaker struggling to turn his passion into a career,  returns to Loveland with friends Amy [Grant] and Scotty [Barrett] determined to obtain irrefutable proof that the Frogman exists. But what starts as an innocent documentary soon turns into a Lovecraftian nightmare as Dallas uncovers the horrific secrets hidden beneath Loveland’s idyllic surface. Can Frogman read minds? Does he really have a wand? Does Frogman f*ck? One thing is certain. The croaks are no hoax!”

Rotting Press is also selling merch including T-shirts, posters and more; check it out here.
