Exclusive trailer and poster: Is “TROLLS WORLD” the new “TROLL 2”?

Years back, the Italian production filmed as GOBLINS was released in America as TROLL 2, and eventually became a cult favorite. Now, the German-made GOBLIN: DAS IST ECHT TROLL, featuring one of TROLL 2’s stars, is heading out under the English title TROLLS WORLD, and we’ve got an exclusive first look at the trailer and poster.

Not to be confused (well, maybe…) with this year’s animated TROLLS WORLD TOUR, TROLLS WORLD was directed by Eric Dean Hordes from a script he wrote with Alexander König. The film, which will be launched at this month’s European Film Market in Berlin by genre sales specialists Devilworks, was shot in English and stars George Hardy (TROLL 2’s Michael Waits) along with Helmut Krauss, Eva Habermann, Katy Karrenbauer, Jirí Lábus, Désirée Nick, Cecilia Pillado, Nadir Sisman and Billie Zöckler. The synopsis: “Packed with special effects and multi-dimensions, TROLLS WORLD follows an evil troll who is accidentally brought back to life and is out for revenge for his 700 years of suffering. He possesses the body of a young woman and sets his sights on unleashing an army of trolls to take over the world.”
