Exclusive pics and poster: Killer clown “BELLEVUE BOB” is coming!

Bill Moseley is part of the team behind the forthcoming horror short.

BELLEVUE BOB, directed and produced by Sean Haitz from a script he wrote with Mark Cerulli, is a spinoff of Haitz’s feature BIG TOP EVIL. Moseley returns from that film as evil circus owner Mr. Kharver (below is an exclusive look at the poster for his carnival seen in the short), and also joined his manager Judy Fox to serve as executive producers of BELLEVUE BOB. David Vega has the title role, and the cast also includes Mis Sadistic, Aaron Prager, Rob Wight, Clair Brauer and Johnny Hoops. The synopsis: “An escaped mental patient hides behind clown makeup to continue his killing spree and audition for a terrifying lineup of killers and creeps–Kharver’s Carnival!”

“In this short,” Haitz tells RUE MORGUE, “we zero in on Bellevue Bob, one of the sadistic clowns from BIG TOP EVIL. We get to see more of where he comes from and how he connects with Mr. Kharver. We will be creating a anthology series with other horror icons playing circus villains, telling their stories with Mr. Kharver as the through-line.”

“It’s been a thrill to get to work with horror royalty Bill Moseley!” Haitz continues. “I feel like we’re on the same wavelength when it comes to horror within the circus realm. We first got to work with him in Sarasota, Florida, home of The Ringling Bros. Circus, on BIG TOP EVIL, and we linked up once again in LA for BELLEVUE BOB.”

Adds Moseley himself, “From the winter quarters in Florida to the Southern California frying pan, BIG TOP EVIL is spreading its murderous tentacles across the land like some deadly circus squid!” He then adds, in character as Mr. Kharver, “Dammit, you kids, don’t try slippin’ under the tent flaps, or Howdy, the one-eyed glass-eater, will crunch your little brittle bones like he’s steppin’ on a box of Wheaties!”
