Exclusive photos reveal the creature of Amazon’s “BOGGY CREEK: THE SERIES”

The legendary cryptid who has been prowling movies since the ’70s now has its own Amazon Prime series, and we’ve got exclusive pics of it and a few human characters, too.

BOGGY CREEK: THE SERIES, which consists of six half-hour episodes, can now be viewed here and was directed by Henrique Couto, who produced with longtime genre specialist Fred Olen Ray. The cast is headed by Eric Roberts, Joni Durian, Mike Hilinski, Geoff Burkman, Joe Kidd and horror veteran Brinke Stevens; Phil Nichols and Melissa Nichols created the creature. According to Couto (seen in the last photo), “Over the course of the series, viewers will follow the exploits of Roger and Sarah, two field members of ‘The American Yeti Project,’ as they hunt for the elusive Bigfoot, the beast of Boggy Creek. But the Sasquatch isn’t all that’s lurking in Boggy Creek, as our heroes must contend with a serial killers, crooks on the run, a maniacal living scarecrow…and more!” The saga began with Charles B. Pierce’s pseudodocumentary classic THE LEGEND OF BOGGY CREEK in 1972, and continued through Tom Moore’s in-name-only sequel RETURN TO BOGGY CREEK (1977), Pierce’s own BOGGY CREEK II (1984), Brian T. Jaynes’ BOGGY CREEK (2010) and others.
