Exclusive photos, first info: “ADORED” turns a tropical paradise into hell

The upcoming fright film was shot on location in the Virgin Islands.

ADORED is the first film written and produced by actress Emily Sweet (EIGHT EYES, V/H/S/99, CASTLE FREAK), who scripted it with Kimmy Krenzer. It’s a co-production of her Sweet Hauntings Productions and Dynamite Filmz, run by director Brian Brough, making his debut at the helm of a horror feature after numerous Christmas and romance TV movies. Sweet stars along with Charlotte Hemmings and Chris Reid; the synopsis: “In the wake of a personal tragedy, A-list actress Dani Monroe [Sweet] seeks solace and recovery in a remote Virgin Islands villa. Her search for peace quickly unravels when she discovers she’s relentlessly being stalked. What begins as a journey of healing becomes a fight for survival in a paradise turned nightmare.”

“The film weaves tropical beauty with claustrophobic dread, making the environment a character in its own right,” according to the filmmakers. “The villa itself feels alive, with secrets lurking in every shadow. ADORED delivers the kind of visceral horror that fans of classics like CABIN FEVER and THE RUINS crave. But at its heart, it’s a deeply human story about survival and sacrifice. ADORED delivers the kind of horror that lingers long after the credits roll.” The movie is set to be released later this year; we’ll keep you posted on the specifics!
