Coming to New York City’s Scary Movies festival this weekend and wider release next week, WHAT KEEPS YOU ALIVE is a bloody examination of a couple under pressure. We’ve got an exclusive clip after the jump.

WHAT KEEPS YOU ALIVE plays Scary Movies at NYC’s Lincoln Center tomorrow, August 18 at 5 p.m., with writer/director Colin Minihan and star Brittany Allen in person (see more info here), and then comes to select theaters and VOD August 24 from IFC Midnight. Hannah Emily Anderson, Martha MacIsaac (THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT) and Joey Klein also star; the synopsis: “Jackie [Anderson] and Jules [Allen] are a couple celebrating their one year anniversary at a secluded cabin in the woods belonging to Jackie’s family. From the moment they arrive, something changes in Jules’ normally loving wife, as Jackie (if that even is her real name) begins to reveal a previously unknown dark side—all building up to a shocking revelation that will pit Jules against the woman she loves most in a terrifying fight to survive.” Minihan and Allen talk about WHAT KEEPS YOU ALIVE here.
