The screen’s latest lycanthrope is kinda cute, but gets involved in some serious mayhem.

THE YORKIE WEREWOLF, a horror/comedy from writer/director Michael DiBiasio-Ornelas, hits VOD platforms (Apple TV, Amazon Prime, Google Play and Fandango) today following a number of festival dates. Isabella Jaimie, Risa Mei, Jacob Rainer, Juan Salvati and Rebecca De Ornelas star; the synopsis: “In a span of two days, teen witch Jenny [Jaimie] buries both matriarchs of her family, her powerful grandmother and her mother Sandra, who has long been hiding a secret about Jenny’s birth. Matters are made worse when Jenny is turned into a tiny Yorkie werewolf [Mei], and drawn into a bloody war between her town’s creatures of the night and the local mafia–as headed by her own warlock/mobster father, Papa Nick [Salvati]. After joining forces with clingy and bumbling vampire Chris [Rainer], with his own vendetta against the mob, Jenny embarks on a reluctant quest to fulfill her destiny as the one who will finally bring peace to her community–through various hijinx and much bloodshed!”
