Exclusive: 500 Miles to Memphis Debuts the Gory Music Video for “Hold on Tight”

By: MADDI MCGILLVRAY

Punk rock sextet 500 Miles to Memphis premiers their new blood-soaked music video for “Hold on Tight.” Influenced by splatter films of the 1980s and 90s, “Hold on Tight” offers a contemporary reimagining movies like Evil Dead II, The Toxic Avenger, and Braindead. In fact, it took 500 gallons of blood to get the coverage that’s on screen – so much that it had to be delivered on a forklift! Check out the video for “Hold on Tight” below.

“Hold on Tight” comes from 500 Miles to Memphis’ fifth studio album Blessed Be the Damned, which will be available on vinyl via Paper + Plastick on August 9th. Plus, Wax Works is pairing a hand-poured soy candle with the lyrics. The fragrance notes include smoke, oak, and green leaves. 500 Miles to Memphis will also be on tour through the United States this summer. Click here to view the dates.
