The beast within is starting to get unleashed.

WERWULF, coming to theaters December 25 from Focus Features, is the latest period horror film from director Robert Eggers (NOSFERATU, THE LIGHTHOUSE, THE WITCH), and the trailer promises an experience rife with rituals and atmosphere. Scripted by Eggers and Sjón, it stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Willem Dafoe, Lily-Rose Depp and Ralph Ineson from NOSFERATU, along with Jack Morris and Bodhi Rae Breathnach. Described as “Robert Eggers’ most visceral and haunting experience yet” and “a harrowing tale of devotion, damnation and the devil within,” the movie is set in a 13th-century village terrorized by a mysterious creature.
