The titular serial killer of ARTIK is invading theaters, and we’ve got an exclusive excerpt that’s armed and ready for him.

Epic Pictures begins its big-screen roll-out of ARTIK today and continues it through October, and releases the movie on Blu-ray and VOD September 10. The feature writing/directing debut of Tom Botchii, ARTIK stars Chase Williamson (JOHN DIES AT THE END, SEQUENCE BREAK), Jerry G. Angelo, Lauren Ashley Carter (JUG FACE, DARLING), Matt Mercer, Gavin White and David Robbins. The synopsis: “Artik [Angelo] is a serial killer obsessed with comic books. Along with his wife Flin Brays [Carter], he uses a small group of children to fetch his victims, while teaching them how to work as a unit on the family farm. But when his star pupil, Boy Adam [White], crosses paths with a welder and straight edge Al-Anon member Holton [Williamson], he ends up befriending him, rather than marking another victim’s path for Artik. With a protective eye now looking over him, the boy’s mysterious life seems to leave hints of instability at home. Which leads Holton’s Al-Anon sponsor, Karnihin [Mercer], to make a house call that goes violently wrong. Risking both his mental and physical well-being, Holton’s investigation into what happened to his sponsor leaves behind a trail of blood and violence.”

Special features on the Blu-ray are:

  • Audio commentary by writer/director Tom Botchii
  • “The Characters” behind-the-scenes featurette
  • “The Chair” behind-the-scenes featurette
  • Short film 11 MINUTES with commentary
  • Short film GOLDBLOODED with commentary
