The deadly doll’s longtime screenwriter and frequent director has dropped a preview of his upcoming series, which will air on two networks.

CHUCKY, executive-produced by Mancini, CHILD’S PLAY franchise stalwart David Kirschner and Nick Antosca, will be seen on both the Syfy and USA networks, with a premiere date to be announced. Mancini scripted the show and directed the pilot, with Brad Dourif also returning to voice Chucky; the synopsis: “After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies and allies from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.”
