The filmmaker’s latest merges the scientific with the supernatural.

IFC Midnight releases DEMONIC, written and directed by Neill Blomkamp, to theaters and VOD/digital platforms August 20. Carly Pope, Chris Martin Williams, Michael Rogers, Nathalie Boltt and Terry Chen star; the synopsis: “A young woman unleashes terrifying demons when supernatural forces at the root of a decades old rift between mother and daughter are revealed.”
