Darren Lynn Bousman wraps international horror film “CELLO” with Jeremy Irons and Tobin Bell

The nature of the director’s latest, top-secret project has now been revealed.

Alamiya and Envision Media Arts have announced that Darren Lynn Bousman (pictured) has completed shooting CELLO, which was shot on location in Saudi Arabia and the Czech Republic. Scripted by Turki Al Alshikh from his novel, the movie stars Jeremy Irons, Tobin Bell from the SAW franchise where Bousman first made his name, Samer Ismail and Elham Ali. The story concerns an aspiring cellist who the terrible cost of his brand new instrument, and the creative team includes such genre regulars as director of photography Maxime Alexandre (CRAWL, THE NUN, THE HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR) and composer Joseph Bishara (the CONJURING and INSIDIOUS films).

“I have been blessed to have many adventures in my filmmaking career,” Bousman says. “None have compared to the production of CELLO. I was able to traverse the globe, and work with an international cast and crew. I am excited for the world to see this terrifying tale from the mind of Turki Al Alshikh and am humbled to have had a small part in its creation.” The film is set to hit the international festival circuit next year.
