The man himself will be on hand, along with new restorations of his classic films.

IndieWire broke the news that Film at Lincoln Center in New York City will begin its summer season with “Beware of Dario Argento: A 20-Film Retrospective,” co-hosted by Cinecittà and running June 17-29. Argento himself will accompany a number of the movies, including the U.S. premiere of his new giallo DARK GLASSES (pictured), his first film in a decade, and numerous new 4K digital restorations of his previous features. “We are delighted to celebrate the 30th anniversary of our ongoing partnership with FLC, by offering its audience the world premiere of 17 restorations of Dario Argento’s magnificent works, prepared by our laboratory at Cinecittà,” says the studio’s president, Chiara Sbarigia. “Following the record-breaking 2018 Luchino Visconti and 2019 Ermanno Olmi retrospectives, we have decided to come back after these difficult months with Dario Argento, whose retrospective has already been booked by international venues for the next two years.” The schedule for the screenings, all of which will take place at Lincoln Center’s Walter Reade Theater, is as follows:
