Director Andrew Jara (The Empty Space) is back with “Followed, a horror short that brings a fresh twist to the slasher genre. Now live on Indiegogo, the campaign invites horror fans to support a story about Ally Axe, a popular online streamer who finds herself stalked by The Ghoul, a fan who crosses the line from follower to nightmare. As her live-stream transforms into a fight for survival, Ally’s viewers are forced to watch in real-time.

In “Followed,” Jara explores the darker side of fandom and internet culture. Inspired by Giallo horror, the film will feature vibrant colors and stylized suspense, with nostalgic nods through a fictional horror show, “Tales from the Empty Space,” that Ally streams as the night takes its terrifying turn.

The campaign video—filmed in an abandoned jail—shows Jara himself escaping a masked figure as he explains the film’s vision. Funds raised will go toward essential production elements, from stunts to practical effects, all crafted to make “Followed” unforgettable. Horror fans can join the campaign to unlock perks like Blu-ray copies, special credits, and even a chance to feature their own art in the film.

Interested? Check out “Followed” on Indiegogo and help bring this modern slasher to life!
