Here’s another film to prey on your fear of spiders.
Roadside Attractions and Saban Films have announced their acquisition of U.S. rights to CRAWLERS, which they will release nationwide October 2. Originally titled ARACHNID, it was directed by Angel Gómez Hernández (DON’T LISTEN) and scripted by Jayson Rothwell (SILENT NIGHT), and stars Matilda Lutz from Coralie Fargeat’s REVENGE, Gregg Sulkin, Melina Matthews, Chris Rogers, William Miller and Isabella Egizi. The synopsis: “In CRAWLERS, Serena [Lutz], the overworked and underappreciated manager of the Paradiso Palms apartment complex, discovers a mysterious death. But what begins as a suspected viral outbreak quickly spirals into something far more terrifying: a catastrophic infestation of venomous spiders spreading rapidly through the building. Trapped by a quarantine with no way out, residents are forced into a desperate fight for survival as the threat multiplies by the second. Armed only with her intimate knowledge of the building, Serena may be the only one who can keep them alive—if she can confront her deepest fear.”

The filmmaking team is over the moon to partner with Roadside and Saban on the theatrical release of CRAWLERS.”
