Corin Hardy’s Fantastic Fest premiere “WHISTLE” gets a teaser poster and release date

A wide audience will be able to hear the sound of fear next year.

WHISTLE, which has its world premiere at Fantastic Fest tonight, has been set for theatrical release by Independent Film Company and Shudder February 6, 2026. Directed by Corin Hardy (THE NUN, THE HALLOW) from a screenplay by Owen Egerton (BLOOD FEST, it stars Dafne Keen (LOGAN), Sophie Nélisse (YELLOWJACKETS), Sky Yang, Jhaleil Swaby, Ali Skovbye, Percy Hynes White, Michelle Fairley and Nick Frost (SHAUN OF THE DEAD). The synopsis: “A misfit group of unwitting high school students stumble upon a cursed object, an ancient Aztec Death Whistle. They discover that blowing the whistle and the terrifying sound it emits will summon their future deaths to hunt them down. As the body count rises, the friends investigate the origins of the deadly artifact in a desperate effort to stop the horrifying chain of events that they have set in motion.”
