Climb “THE TREEHOUSE” to new Spanish horror; trailer & poster

This is no child’s hangout.

Black Mandala has released the trailer and poster for THE TREEHOUSE, from Spanish writer/director Luis Calderón. Sandra Escacena, Claudio Portalo, Kandido Uranga, Apolonia La Piedra and international music favorite Mala Rodríguez star; the synopsis: “Ale [Escacena], her boyfriend Jesús, and their dog Drago are enjoying a romantic getaway in a treehouse suspended more than 60 feet above the Zeanuri forest. In the dead of night, Ale is startled awake by Drago’s barking. When she steps outside to investigate, she witnesses Jesús fall from the cabin to his death. One year later, Ale returns to the Zeanuri woods, convinced that Jesús’s death was not an accident and that something in the forest took him. But this time, Ale does not come back as a victim. She comes back with a plan: to prove that a predator exists in the woods—and to hunt it down.”
