As detailed in a recent press release, indie film distributor Cleopatra Entertainment has picked up exclusive rights to the upcoming sci-fi horror film BLOOD AND SNOW for a late 2024 VOD release in a deal brokered by Cleopatra founder and CEO Brian Perera, Tim Yasui VP/GM of Cleopatra Entertainment, and by Black Mandala on behalf of the filmmakers.

When two scientists investigate a meteorite impact site in the Arctic, one is killed, and the other is left infected by a mysterious disease. Taken in by a nearby research station, the lone survivor may be harboring a dark secret that threatens all humankind. Written by Rossa McPhillips and Simon Phillips, BLOOD AND SNOW is the feature debut of director Jesse Palangio. Vernon Wells (Road Warrior, Commando, Weird Science), Simon Phillips (The Witcher), Anne-Carolyne Binette (Butchers, What Lurks Beneath) and Michael Swatton (Ash & Dust, Two Deaths of Henry Baker).

An official selection at such festivals and cons as Horrorhound, Haunted House Fearfest and the Chicago Horror Film Festival, BLOOD AND SNOW has drawn praise and favorable comparisons to John Carpenter’s 1982 classic The Thing.
