This year’s SXSW Film Festival had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 crisis, but now the short films that were part of the slate have been given a digital home, and a number of them are part of the genre-friendly Midnight section.

Mailchimp and Oscilloscope have teamed for the SXSW 2020 Shorts on-line showcase, which contains a wide selection of 64 movies. It offers an opportunity to sample and support the visions of dozens of filmmakers, and stay connected to the cinema world during this time of isolation. You can view the short films here, where you can also select them by category and sample a number of scary little flicks in the Midnight and other sections. The Midnight titles are:

  • Emily Wilson’s DANNY’S GIRL
  • Jennifer Lumbroso’s THE DOE
  • Eros Vlahos’ DOUBLE TAP
  • Ennio Ruschetti’s HAND IN HAND
  • Thessa Meijer’s HEAT
  • Parker Finn’s LAURA HASN’T SLEPT
  • Santiago Menghini’s REGRET
  • Janina Gavankar and Russo Schelling’s STUCCO (pictured)

You can also sample movies from the Animated, Documentary, Made in Texas, Narrative and Texas High School sections.
