“CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST” Grindhouse six-disc 4K UHD and Blu-ray set now available for pre-order

The notorious flesheating saga has been restored completely uncut—and in a “PG-rated” version!

Grindhouse Releasing has begun pre-orders for its six-disc release of Ruggero Deodato’s infamous CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST, containing a UHD, four Blu-rays and a CD. The film has been restored in 4K from the original 35mm and 16mm negatives; the latter “Green Inferno” documentary footage is presented in its native aspect ratio of 1.37:1 for the very first time. The discs contain three different versions of HOLOCAUST: the uncensored theatrical cut, a new special edition and a never-before-released “PG-rated” variation. An archival stereo DTS-HD Master Audio remix and original mono mix are included, along with these special features:

  • Feature-length audio commentary by director Ruggero Deodato and star Robert Kerman
  • Feature-length audio commentary by stars Carl Yorke and Francesca Ciardi
  • Searching for CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST, a new feature-length documentary by Calum Waddell
  • In the Jungle: The Making of CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST, directed by Michele De Angelis
  • In-depth interviews with director Ruggero Deodato, director of photography Sergio D’Offizi, production designer Massimo Antonello Geleng, camera operator Roberto Forges Davanzati, composer Riz Ortolani, assistant director/co-star Salvatore Basile and stars Robert Kerman, Carl Yorke, Francesca Ciardi and Luca Barbareschi
  • Extensive still galleries and theatrical trailers
  • 100-page book by Eurohorror experts Martin Beine and Jesper Mørch
  • Bonus CD soundtrack album by Riz Ortolani, remastered and expanded with 10 additional tracks, including three never-before-released cues
  • Super-deluxe slipcover with banned artwork from the original 42nd Street release by Marcus Boas
  • And other surprises!

The set can be pre-ordered for $66.66 at the Grindhouse webstore, and the first 3,000 orders will come with an exclusive 35mm film slide taken from an original 42nd Street theatrical print. Shipping begins in mid-late October.
