This could be the movie that truly nails the video-game-to-movie translation.

Universal and Blumhouse have released the trailer for FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S, which hits theaters and begins streaming on Peacock October 27. Directed by Emma Tammi (THE WIND), it was scripted by game creator Scott Cawthon, Tammi and Seth Cuddeback, and stars Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Kat Conner Sterling, Piper Rubio, Mary Stuart Masterson and SCREAM’s Matthew Lillard, with animatronic characters created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. The synopsis: “The film follows a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through.”
