As Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s ESCAPE ROOM debuts today on Blu-ray and DVD, one of our staff was sent a mysterious game by Sony Pictures, created by Wild Optimists, offering a similar set of brain-teasing puzzles. Can he unlock their mysteries and find his way to the end? Check out the video after the jump.
Also currently available on digital, ESCAPE ROOM was directed by Adam Robitel (INSIDIOUS: THE LAST KEY) and stars Taylor Russell, Logan Miller, Deborah Ann Woll (TRUE BLOOD), Jay Ellis, Tyler Labine (TUCKER AND DALE VS. EVIL), Nick Dodani and Yorick van Wageningen. The synopsis: “An intriguing invitation bring six strangers together. Initially, they think they have gathered for a highly immersive escape room, but they soon make the sickening discovery that they are pawns in a sadistic game of life and death. Together, they move from one terrifying scenario to the next as they find clues and solve puzzles. But the players soon learn that exposing their darkest secrets may hold the key to survive.” The Blu-ray, DVD and digital bonus materials include and alternate opening and ending, six deleted scenes and four featurettes.
