Our favorite title of the week is for the horror/comedy BUTCHER THE BAKERS, coming this month from Dark Cuts. Read on for the release info, the trailer and comments from one of the creators.

Direced by Tyler Amm from a script he wrote with Virginia Campbell, BUTCHER THE BAKERS stars Ryan Matthew Ziegler, Sean Walsh, Devon Ford, Lisa Wojcik, Mike Behrens and Joe Buckley. It’ll be released January 16 on the following VOD platforms: Vudu, iTunes, Google Play, Microsoft Xbox, Vubiquity, Dish and Tivo. The synopsis: “Recently fired, a grim reaper terrorizes a small town, killing and collecting souls for a purpose only he knows. Sam and Martin, slackers who work at the local bakery, are hired by a mysterious stranger to stop him from killing again. This leads them on a ridiculous journey full of blood, guts, monsters and cookies!”

PJ Starks (the VOLUMES OF BLOOD movies) executive-produced BUTCHER THE BAKERS, and tells RUE MORGUE, “I love horror/comedy when it’s done right, and Tyler has done that in spades. It’s been a while since we’ve had a solid buddy comedy in this genre, so to produce one is just awesome. I was very excited to work with Tyler and Ryan, and hope they get the attention they deserve for this insane and gruesome journey they’ve created.”
