The Lovecraft-inspired sequel will be looking its best for a new rerelease.

Ignite Films and Eagle Rock Pictures, the team behind this year’s restoration of RE-ANIMATOR, are spiffing up its 1990 follow-up BRIDE OF RE-ANIMATOR for a deluxe home video release. Directed and produced by Brian Yuzna from a script by Woody Keith and Rick Fry, it reunites the original movie’s Jeffrey Combs, Bruce Abbott and David Gale, joined by Claude Earl Jones, Fabiana Udenio, and Kathleen Kinmont. Screaming Mad George, KNB EFX Group, Magical Media Industries, Anthony Doublin and David Allen joined forces for the makeup and special effects. The synopsis: “Eight months after the Miskatonic Massacre, Doctors Herbert West [Combs] and Dan Cain [Abbott] are back–working as volunteer medics in a Peruvian civil war. But death is only the beginning: Once home, West resumes his experiments, this time with a twisted new goal–to create life from spare parts and bring Dan’s late fiancée back as the ultimate re-animated creation.”

The special-edition disc package of BRIDE OF RE-ANIMATOR, coming in early 2026, will mirror that of its predecessor, and will be “packed with exclusive new bonus features, limited collector’s packaging, and fan-favorite surprises.” Stay tuned for further details.
