Boris Karloff Returns In Gold Key Comics Kickstarter Campaign (Only A Few Days Left To Pledge!)

60 years after its inception, Gold Key Comics is returning in a big way. The quintessential publisher of titles like Magnus Robot Fighter, Turok: Son of Stone and Boris Karloff’s Tales of Mystery rises again to deliver stories that are sure to please comics fans of all genres. The first of many new projects features the familiar face of a true horror legend of stage, film and television, Boris Karloff.

Gold Key Comics, in an exclusive arrangement with the Karloff estate, is proud to bring the iconic horror actor back to the printed page with BORIS KARLOFF’S GOLD KEY MYSTERIES. They’ve packed this new horror anthology full of all-new stories (and absolutely no reprints). Gathering fascinating new tales, crafted by some of today’s most talented comic creators, including Steve Orlando, Artyom Trakhanov, Kelly Williams, Jok, Sergey Nazarov and Craig Hurd-McKenney, these new publications will be available in comic shops. However, their Kickstarter campaign gives fans the opportunity to be a part of this new endeavor. Backers will have the chance to secure a hardcover “exclusive Preview Edition” of BORIS KARLOFF’S GOLD KEY MYSTERIES, only available to backers of this campaign. This version will also include behind-the-scenes content, production art and much more.

Of course, this Kickstarter has many enticing rewards for backers. First, every backer will get a membership in the “Gold Key Club.” This membership includes exclusive benefits and privileges like discounts on Gold Key merchandise, early access to news and announcements, first chance to purchase select new exclusives from Gold Key and many more perks.

Early backers of this project will have their names enshrined in the Kickstarter Preview Edition of BORIS KARLOFF’S GOLD KEY MYSTERIES. Some pledge goals for this campaign include signed hard and softcover editions of the book (at $100),  five hardcover multipacks of the book ($200), which will make perfect gifts for classic horror-loving family members and friends. There are also “stretch goals” that unlock with a $25,000 pledge, including a new “limited edition” 18×24 inch screen printed Boris Karloff black light poster, plus a softcover variant featuring art by Skinner (whom we’ve covered many times in RUE MORGUE). Also available are limited edition screen prints ($100, limited to 100), a softcover variant ($40, limited to 100) and a package set ($125, limited to 25).

There is a selection of add-ons available, too. These include a limited edition t-shirt ($35) adorned with the cover art by Johnny Dombrowski, custom Kelly Williams sketches ($60), a softcover variant cover by Skinner ($40), a Gold Key enamel pin ($15) and much more.

There are only a few days left in the campaign, so pledge now!
