Next Halloween… He Kills!

Universal Pictures and Blumhouse finally gave us a peek at the highly anticipated sequel to 2018’s Halloween, HALLOWEEN KILLS, and it looks awesome! If hopes weren’t high before, they most certainly are now! Laurie seems bent on revenge, and Michael seems bent on, well, killing. Looks like next Halloween in Haddonfield will be a doozie!

In the trailer, Laurie can be heard saying, “next Halloween, when the sun sets and someone is alone, he kills.” This is laid over an ominous shot of Michael picking up his beloved mask. We see our favorite boogeyman savagely kill some people in true Michael Myers fashion, and Laurie getting ready to take on her nemesis. One thing is clear… Michael is not playing around this time.

The trailer doesn’t give us much, but with an entire year to wait, that’s to be expected. Originally set to release this October, the film was delayed with the hopes of releasing to theatres back at full capacity. Fans of the series will have to wait until October 2021 to see Michael continue his rampage, and Laurie try to stop him. HALLOWEEN KILLS will be the second of three films, followed by Halloween Ends, expected in 2022.

Blumhouse’s Halloween released in 2018, to much acclaim, so the delay stings for a lot of fans. At least we finally have a small taste to whet appetites! For now…

HALLOWEEN KILLS stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, and Anthony Michael Hall. Hall is a new addition and will portray Tommy Doyle; the kid Laurie was babysitting in the original Halloween. David Gordon Green penned the script and also directs.

Expect Blumhouse’s HALLOWEEN KILLS October 15th, 2021.
