The companies behind the current hit M3GAN have a new fright film set for next January.

Blumhouse and Atomic Monster have announced their impending production of NIGHT SWIM, for release by Universal. After the very successful launch of M3GAN (grossing $30.4 million) this past weekend, this new collaboration has not surprisingly been earmarked for a January 19, 2024 release. Bryce McGuire will write and direct the movie, based on the short film he created with Rod Blackhurst (HERE ALONE), which you can watch below; the cast is headed by Wyatt Russell (pictured, from WE ARE WHAT WE ARE and OVERLORD) and Kerry Condon (THE BANSHEES OF INISHERIN). Though plot details are being kept secret for now, the movie is described as “a supernatural thriller built around the hidden source of terror found in an iconic backyard swimming pool. James Wan and Jason Blum are producing.” More on this one as it comes in!
