EC Comics-inspired horror adventure title and Rue Morgue’s ‘Best Indie Game’ of 2019 WORSE THAN DEATH is receiving an expansion in the form of an actual comic book.

Released last year on iOS in July and Steam, PS4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One in October, the game weaves a chilling tale of a high-school reunion that turns violent and bloody for protagonist Holly and her hometown friends.

Chapter one, now available at ComiXology, introduces readers to Mia – a seemingly shy twenty-something looking for love online. There’s just one problem: all of her dates end up dead.

Rivers’ last major comic was the Joe Shuster Award-nominated SNOW, a Toronto-based slice-of-life graphic novel that was later turned into an independent, full-length feature film.
