From Pennywise to Art, clowns have taken a beating in pop culture over the last few decades. APOCALYPSE CLOWN, the new film from director George Kane and Vertigo Releasing, gives them their due – and some karmic payback.

Shot on location in Ireland, the film tells the story of a down-on-its-luck clown troupe that gets a fresh lease on relevance when a devastating solar event plunges the world into chaos. David Earl (Brian & Charles, After Life), Natalie Palamides (Nate – A One Man Show), Amy De Bhrún (The Bachelor Weekend), Fionn Foley (Dublin Oldschool), Tadhg Murphy (Brassic) and Ivan Kaye (Gunpowder Milkshake) star.

APOCALYPSE CLOWN premieres in cinema across the U.K. and Ireland on September 1.
