IN THE FIRE, the upcoming period horror film from director Conor Allyn and Saban Films, stars Amber Heard (Aquaman) as a New York doctor who travels to a remote plantation in the 1890s to treat a disturbed young boy with seemingly inexplicable powers. Relying on reason and science, the doctor clashes with the religious locals, convinced he is possessed by Satan and the cause of their collective woes.

“The film is a meditation on the almost supernatural powers of love told through a strong-willed and independent woman at the turn of the 20th century,” Amber Heard said in comments before the SAG-AFTRA strike. “I feel honored to be part of this labor of love and to be the lead in Conor Allyn’s vision. I feel lucky to be surrounded by such an amazing cast. They’re as dedicated and magical as the characters they play.”

IN THE FIRE premieres in theaters, on-demand and digital on October 13, 2023. See the trailer now!
