One of the year’s best horror films will see release next month, and has new promo material.
Brainstorm Media and Doppelgänger Releasing will bring RAGING GRACE to select theaters December 1, followed by VOD platforms December 8. Written and directed by Paris Zarcilla, it has won raves (including ours) from its festival play, including SXSW, where it took the Grand Jury Awards for Best Film and Best Debut, and the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival, where it was the first-ever movie to score multiple awards: The Critics Prize, The Audience Award and The Youth Award for Best Film. Max Eigenmann, Jaeden Paige Boadilla, Leanne Best and David Hayman star; the synopsis: “Joy [Eigenmann] is an undocumented Filipino immigrant struggling to do the best she can to support her daughter, Grace [Boadilla]. Soon she secures the perfect job: taking care of an extremely wealthy but terminal old man. The new position pays well and guarantees a roof over their heads, but very soon, Joy and Grace start to realize everything is not as it seems. Something is festering beneath the surface, threatening all they have worked for.”
