Bumped out of its original berth earlier this year due to the pandemic, the spiritual horror film now has a new date.

A24 has announced that SAINT MAUD, written and directed by Rose Glass in her feature debut, will arrive in theaters nationwide July 17. Praised by numerous critics from its previous festival play, the movie stars Morfydd Clark, Jennifer Ehle, Lilly Frazer, Lily Knight, Marcus Hutton, Turlough Convery and Rosie Sansom. The synopsis: “SAINT MAUD is a chilling and boldly original vision of faith, madness, and salvation in a fallen world. Maud [Clark], a newly devout hospice nurse, becomes obsessed with saving her dying patient’s soul–but sinister forces, and her own sinful past, threaten to put an end to her holy calling.”
