A24 has locked in a release date for Jeremy Saulnier‘s Slayground, confirming that the haunted attraction horror film will open in theatres January 29, 2027. The studio released the news with an unsettling new poster, its latest tease in a marketing campaign that has otherwise kept the project’s plot locked behind a fog machine.
Saulnier, the filmmaker behind Green Room and Rebel Ridge, has said little publicly about what audiences should expect from Slayground. The film’s first teaser, which surfaced in September, built its entire pitch around a fictional haunted attraction’s surveillance feeds, hinting at a Halloween night that goes badly wrong for whoever is wandering its maze.

The ensemble includes Imogen Poots and James Badge Dale who lead a cast rounded out by Matty Matheson, Cory Michael Smith, Chase Sui Wonders, Sophie Wilde, Young Mazino, and Stephen Root – an eclectic mix of dramatic and comedic performers that hints that this film won’t play its scares straight.
Until an official trailer lands, the clearest look at Slayground is the teaser below.
