It’s basically ORCA meets THE SHALLOWS.

Lionsgate releases KILLER WHALE to theaters, VOD and digital platforms January 16. Directed by Jo-Anne Brechin and scripted by Katharine E. McPhee and Brechin, it stars Virginia Gardner (HALLOWEEN), Mel Jarnson and Mitchell Hope. The synopsis: “After a life-shattering tragedy, Trish [Jarnson] tries to comfort her best friend, Maddie [Gardner], by taking her on a spectacular adventure in a private lagoon halfway across the world. Their peaceful retreat soon becomes a terrifying fight to stay alive when the ocean’s most bloodthirsty predator seeks vengeance for a brutal life in captivity.”
