A classic toy has a sinister side in THE JACK IN THE BOX, which sees release next month. This one looks pretty creepy, so check out the trailer and poster past the jump.

4Digital Media releases THE JACK IN THE BOX to VOD/digital platforms and DVD May 5. Written and directed by Lawrence Fowler, it stars Ethan Taylor, Lucy-Jane Quinlan, Philip Ridout, Darrie Gardner and Robert Nairne (who has previously played creatures in MARROWBONE and PENNY DREADFUL) as Jack. The synopsis: “When a museum is donated a vintage jack-in-the-box, it’s not long before staff member Casey [Taylor] starts to think that the creepy clown doll inside has a life of its own. As he discovers his colleagues are dying, one by one, Casey realizes it’s up to him to find a way to end the nightmare or become another victim of the box’s curse.”
