Run the “OBSTACLE CORPSE” as horror/comedy hits streaming; new poster

Featuring practical-effects kills, it just crossed the finish line of a well-received festival tour.

OBSTACLE CORPSE, the feature debut of writer/director Hope Madden, will debut on Amazon’s VOD service tomorrow and will soon dash onto other streamers. Sylvie Mix, Alan Tyson, Gareth Tidball, Chris Hahn and Tarik Woods star; the official synopsis describes the movie as “the sweet, bloody story of teen Sunny [Mix] trying to prove herself to her survivalist dad on the world’s deadliest race course… Feeling overshadowed by her sisters, Sunny signs up for a mysterious obstacle course race with her equally unprepared friend, Ezra [Tyson]. But as they witness military-style enforcers, creepy race organizers and a series of brutal murders, the two quickly realize that they’re running for their lives.”

“I’m a lifelong horror fan, writer and critic,” Madden says, “and I made OBSTACLE CORPSE for everyone who loves laughs and a genuine story with their gooey head smashes. But you never know what will connect, and we’ve been so honored by the reception, and people telling each other they have to see it.”
