Euro-creature feature “WOLFKIN” set for U.S. release

Well-received at FrightFest and MotelX, the film is now headed for wider exposure.

Uncork’d Entertainment has announced its acquisition of the Luxembourg fright feature WOLFKIN (a.k.a. KOMMUNIOUN), with a release on digital platforms and DVD set for August 8. Directed by Jacques Molitor from a script he wrote with Régine Abadia and Magali Negroni, it stars Louise Manteau, Victor Dieu, Marja-Leena Junker and Jules Werner. The synopsis: “Single mother Elaine [Manteau] is disturbed by her son Martin’s [Dieu] aggressive behavior and sudden physical changes, she visits his late father’s estranged family in small-town Luxembourg–where a much darker secret lurks. When she realizes that Martin could become like them, Elaine is forced into a desperate fight for her son’s future.”

“With strong practical effects guaranteed to keep genre audiences enthralled,” says Uncork’d president Keith Leopard, “and a unique storyline similar in tone to LET THE RIGHT ONE IN and HATCHING, this family drama meets creature body horror, with a violent edge, is shaping up to be one of our hottest titles for the second half of 2023.”
