Directed by Joaquin del Paso, THE HOLE IN THE FENCE focuses on a secluded summer retreat in the Mexican countryside. Reserved for the students of a privileged, all-boys private school, the boys receive rigorous physical, moral and religious training under the ever-watchful eyes of their adult guardians. Bred to be tomorrow’s elite, the boys devolve into a brutal, tribal mindset after discovering a hole in the camp’s fence. A horrifying descent into mayhem follows in what is described as a potent critique of Mexican high society.
