EIDOLON is a horror feature film that puts a chilling modern spin on the classic Victorian horror story, The Yellow Wallpaper. Director Dayna Noffke (Teaser, Soto) and Associate Producer Chris Ethridge (Attack of the Morningside Monster, Haven’s End) describe the tone of the bloody supernatural tale as The Haunting of Hill House meets The Babadook. The story follows a woman whose intense desire for perfection manifests as a vengeful female spirit who haunts the walls of her cabin.
Director Dayna Noffke states that, “This film is a true labor of love. We’ve been towards making this project for several years and believe that this is the perfect time for it to happen, as its themes of loneliness, mental illness, and inner darkness will resonate with audiences living in this pandemic era.”
The script for the film was penned by award-winning horror author/screenwriter Can Wiggins and the late Mark Schemanske and stars Amber Chaney (Hunger Games, Walking Dead) and voice actor Sean Polite. Bryan Redding (Tennessee Two Step, Teaser, Youtube Channel “The Deaf Director” ) has come aboard as Cinematographer.
The EIDOLON team is currently in pre-production and raising additional production funds via their crowdfunding campaign, which ends on April 14.
