Festival fave “DAWN BREAKS BEHIND THE EYES” sees wider release this summer; trailer & poster

Kevin Kopacka’s genre-bender has taken 10 awards on the fest circuit, including six Best Feature prizes.

Dark Sky Films has announced that it will bring DAWN BREAKS BEHIND THE EYES to digital platforms June 24. Director Kopacka, who scripted and produced with Lili Villányi, homages Eurohorror of the ’60s and ’70s in the movie, which stars Anna Platen, Jeff Wilbusch, Luisa Taraz, Frederik Von Lüttichau, Bill Becker, Christopher Ramm and Elena Gomez Alvarez. The synopsis: “Margot [Taraz], who comes from a noble family, inherited a castle that she inspects with her ill-tempered husband Dieter [von Lüttichau]. When they arrive at the rundown keep, their relationship is put to a test as their sanity slowly deteriorates. This opens up a new world. As time and space begin to shift around them, a reality that only exists within the walls of the eerie building is exposed–a reality full of warmth and excess.”
